You can't complain that their aren't lots of cute chicks on this website at least.
It's always a red letter day oh I'll start again It's always a red letter day when the first lot of swans eggs hatch and the chicks are paraded down the canal by the doting mum and protective dad.

If you think these are cute for true cutness you need to see (and hear the plaintive tiny yelps of) moorehen chicks.

Went to see my colleague Tim (Lee) play solo at the limelight but, to cut a long story short - was too late! Sorry. He's a talented songwriter and his band are great.

Oh well, this band were on and quite good - sort of the Doors meet Dido(!). Sorry don't know their name.

I love it when the cowparsley first comes out (my favourate flower along with dandilions). It smells sublime and looks great.

The Venetian marina between Nantwich and Middlewich. Complete with aggressive male swan. The female is nesting at the nearby lock.

At the moment it's the only place where the boat name appears!

Mum & Dad bought be a ships bell for the back of the boat. now you can hear me coming.

This is a bit dark but you might just make out one of the many dogs from The Black Lion in Nantwich having a lounge in front of the fire (in late May!!??).

John is similarly relaxed but sadly just out of shot.

I will miss Nantwich. There are some great places for a night out, even right up near the canal.

And this is he.
Went to see Dylan Moran with Sharon last night in The Reagent theatre in Stoke. If you're a big comedy fan you will know him as one of Britain's best stand-ups and if you're into comedy a bit he's the Irish one in "Black Books". Very funny anyway.

The Chili's new album could even be their best yet! I have been listening to it as often as I can devote enough time to give it 100% concentration since its release and the stand out tracks for me so far include "Slow Cheetah", the wonderfull title track, "Hump de Bump" is great fun and features Flea on his trumpet, the absolutely wonderful "Wet Sand" is good enough for an extended pre-encore track at a live show, "Make you feel better", "So Much I", "We believe" is, like "Wet Sand" on some higher half joyous/half apocalyptic spiritual plane like all their very best stuff since Californication and "Storm in a Teacup", like Can't Stop and Give it Away is impossible to put on without turning it up to 200db's and prancing round the room like a loon (OK for me anyway!).

Sorry to go on but Flea described it as "by far the best thing we've ever done" and it sounds like he's right. I'm sure it will be the soundtrack to my life for the next few years anyway.
Rant over.

last night these chicks were eating the algae off the side of the boat while mum stays on guard.
I recently attached this twirly kite thing on front of the boat (the wind has already knackered it though).

Hello by the way - this is my new Blog-site!
Boat before being painted.
