Great now we have yet another managerial, vapid, over-achieving, under-cerebral suit to choose from from our 3 main political parties.

Trouble is, it was (internal party) democracy that delivered up this mediocre nonentity - as democracy has a habit of doing.
At least he's a proud atheist... oh, hang on, maybe not so proud after all... I think he was still an atheist however at the time of writing... See how long that lasts.
And I'm a liberal. Was always a Simon Hughes supporter myself, despite his religious tendencies. Never stood a chance though.
Sorry but I do tend to write without thinking too hard first in these posts (sorry in advance for all the future times I'll do this too) & I haven't really given him a chance...just concerned that they're all looking and sounding more and more like each-other. "They" being politicians as a whole and thus "they" are even more alienating to the majority of people.
But yes - I'm pleased he appears to be brandishing his atheism about. That IS refreshing.
