how is the log maker coming along?! How many marks out of 10 would you give it?
Mmmmm...I think the log-making is something that needs time to perfect becuase I've had very different 'results' depending on what I put in them and am now in the habit of adding the remains of burnt-out candles in the mix.
Their best use seems to be in place of sticks at the base of the fire....though when it's been a bit milder than this I've kept pleasantly warm enough just by throwing on the occasional home-made log and nothing else. They certainly don't burn as long or as hot as the real thing. Maybe about 7/10
